Kitchen wastewater passes through a strainer that removes food particles and is then heated to melt grease in the separation chamber. Floating grease is forced through an oil valve (no mechanical parts) and flows into the storage cassette for easy disposal. Wastewater then flows out to drains with >99% of grease removed to cassette. Settled silts are purged periodically through the flush valve.
